North is Freedom: The Legacy of the Underground Railroad opens Aug. 1

  • The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre is set to welcome guests to a new photographic journey that will highlight the families of Freedom Seekers who fled to the northern end of the Underground Railroad.
  • North is Freedom: The Legacy of the Underground Railroad will open on Sunday, Aug. 1 and will be available until July 15, 2022. 
  • A virtual opening for the exhibit will be Sunday, Aug. 1 via YouTube at 2 p.m.
  • Once open, the exhibit will be available for viewing to all visitors to the Museum during operating hours.
