Sports Update

  • IceDogs Lose Three – The Niagara IceDogs lost all three of their games last week, losing to Brantford 5-3, Kingston 10-0 and Ottawa 6-4. The IceDogs remain in last place in the Eastern Conference, seven points back of the final playoff spot with 23 games remaining in the regular season.
  • Falcons Win A Pair – The St. Catharines Falcons won both of their games over the weekend, defeating Port Colborne 5-2 at home Friday and beating Caledonia 5-4 on Saturday in Caledonia. The Falcons are in third place in the Golden Horseshoe Conference, one point back of second place Fort Erie.
  • River Lions Release Schedule – The Niagara River Lions released their schedule this past week. A total of 20 regular season games will be played over 10 weeks. The River Lions open the season against the Brampton Honey Badgers at the CAA Centre on May 24th before hosting the Honey Badgers at the Meridian Centre on May 30th. (Niagara River Lions)
