  • St. Catharines/Toronto Ferry Service Delayed – Hoverlink Ontario, the company that wants to bring a hovercraft ferry service between St. Catharines and Toronto beginning this summer, said timelines to complete the project are running longer than anticipated and its launch will be delayed. No timeline was given for the new launch. (CKTB)
  • Thorold City Hall Reprimanded – Ontario’s Information and Privacy Commissioner has reprimanded Thorold City Hall for not being open and transparent with its residents. The reprimand is in regards to how the city has handled some Freedom of Information requests. (Thorold News)
  • NOTL Incident To Be Investigated – Niagara-on-the-Lake council has decided that a matter involving a third party’s interaction with a member of council warranted an investigation and that the Integrity Commissioner and the OPP would be notified. The agenda for the closed meeting was to discuss “personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees, specifically regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual relating to interactions with council member(s).   • Open House For Go Station – The Niagara Region and the City of St. Catharines are hosting an open house to provide information about the redevelopment of the St. Catharines train station for Go Transit. The open house will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Ridley College (Williams Hall) (Niagara Region)
  • Call For Committee Members – The City of St. Catharines is looking for applicants for its advisory committees and task forces. A recruitment fair/open house is scheduled to take place on April 5, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre where the public can ask questions and learn more about the committees.   • Memorial Show Planned – A memorial show for long time tribute artist Pat Disimine, also known as “Elvis Little” who passed away suddenly on February 25th, will be held April 1 in Niagara Falls at the Delphi Banquet Hall on Portage Rd. (Giant FM)
