  • Ontario’s COVID-19 vaccine certificate system takes effect on Wednesday next week and will require individuals to provide proof of full vaccination and a piece of ID to enter restaurants, theatres, gyms and other businesses.   • Last night, St. Catharines city council voted unanimously to reinstate development charges as the city was the only municipality in the Greater Golden Horseshoe that did not collect development fees. (610 CKTB)
  • Dr. Mustafa Hirji said Niagara has done well so far during the fourth wave of COVID-19 but things could get worse if people let their guard down too soon. Hirji said states such as Texas and Florida have low vaccination rates and have resisted following COVID-19 restrictions, which has resulted in hospital IC units being stretched beyond capacity.
