  • The city of Port Colborne will be hosting community movie nights at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park with movies on Aug. 24, Aug. 26, Sept. 14 and Sept. 16. Admission is free but people are encouraged to bring a canned food donation. (Niagara this Week)

  • Ice allocation will be a challenge this season in St. Catharines as the Merritton Arena is undergoing renovations and won’t be available until November and the Jack Gatecliff Arena is scheduled to be closed in January when the new twin-pad arena at Canada Games Park opens.   • Ontario’s chamber of commerce released guidance for private sector businesses seeking to develop COVID-19 proof-of-vaccination protocols. The organization believes implementing proof-of-vaccination would help businesses safely reopen and reduce the risk of further lockdowns. (CBC News)
