Swiss defenceman commits to Niagara IceDogs

The Niagara IceDogs have received a commitment from Swiss defenceman Rodwin Dionicio.
Dionicio was selected 18th overall in the first round of the 2021 CHL Import Draft.
Dionicio spent the past season with the Bern U17 and U20 programs in Switzerland’s U17 and U20 Elite leagues, where he tallied four goals and 20 points in 41 games combined between the two leagues.
He also represented the Swiss National Team at the U17 and U18 levels, appearing in 10 game.
Dionicio will be representing Switzerland at the 2021 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup in August, a tournament featuring the top U18 players in the world.
