Niagara IceDogs select a pair of players from Import Draft

  • On Wednesday morning, the CHL Import Draft was held with the Niagara IceDogs selecting a pair of players.
  • The IceDogs used the 18th overall pick to select 17-year-old defenceman Rodwin Dionicio from Switzerland.
  • Dionicio has represented the Swiss internationally at the U16, U17 and U18 levels.
  • In the second round the IceDogs selected 18-year-old left winger Alex Graham from Sheffield, England.
  • Since OHL teams are only permitted two import players, Graham will only play for the IceDogs if 2020 import draft selection Danil Gushchin is not sent back to the IceDogs by the San Jose Sharks, who drafted Gushchin last year.
