St. Catharines approves Cultural Investment Program funding

  • St. Catharines City Council approved $289,715 in St. Catharines Cultural Investment Program (SCCIP) funding
  • 16 applicants will share $10,715 for the Culture Days Activity Program.
  • Culture Days takes place Sept. 24 to Oct. 24. and is a nation-wide annual event that promotes free access to arts, heritage and culture experiences.
  • $279,000 is being allocated to eight organizations through the Sustaining – Core and Midsized Program funding, which supports St. Catharines-based, professional non-profit arts organizations.
  • This is just the first two rounds of funding through SCCIP, which provides an opportunity for artists, not-for-profits and arts and cultural organizations to submit requests for municipal funding through six programs.
