Expanded restaurant patios and outdoor shopping returns to downtown St. Catharines

  • Beginning Friday June 18, parts of St. Paul Street and James Street will turn into a vehicle-free pedestrian zone to allow for expanded restaurant patios and outdoor shopping on sidewalks.
  • The expanded patios and outdoor shopping will take place every Friday and Saturday from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.
  • The road will be closed to vehicles on St. Paul Street from William Street to Carlisle Street, and from Bond Street to Court Street as well as on James Street from King Street to St. Paul Street.
  • The temporary pedestrianization of downtown streets is scheduled to end Saturday October 9, 2021.
