St. Catharines Sports Update – Local Skim St. Catharines

Falcons Open Sutherland Cup Tuesday. The St. Catharines Falcons open the Sutherland Cup round robin on Tuesday in Chatham. Chatham will then travel to St. Catharines to take on the Falcons on Friday, May 20 at 7pm at the Jack Gatecliff Arena. The only other home game for the Falcons in the round robin is Tuesday, May 24 against Cambridge. The top two teams out of the round robin will advance to a best-of-three Ontario championship. River Lions Open Training Camp. The Niagara River Lions opened their training camp on Monday at the Canada Games Park and Walker Sports and Abilities Centre in Thorold. The pro basketball team’s first game is May 25 in Saskatchewan. (BP Sports Niagara)
