City to preserve Rodman Hall outdoor sculpture collection
- With Brock University finalizing the sale of Rodman Hall, Rodman Hall Arts Centre (RHAC) has requested the City take on removing six outdoor sculptures that are part of the Rodman Hall collection to ensure they continue to remain on public display.
- Under a lease agreement with RHAC, the City will take the sculptures for 20 years and cover the cost of removal, storage and the eventual relocation to a site in the downtown core.
- RHAC will pay for the maintenance of the pieces, insurance and related programming.
- $133,905 will be taken from the Civic Project Fund to cover the City’s cost.
