St. Catharines Athletics win league championship
- Last night, the St. Catharines Jr. A Athletics defeated the Brampton Excelsiors 14-13 to capture the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League Championship.
- This was the first championship for the Athletics since the 2003 season.
- Due to COVID, the OJLL season was replaced with a single-site tournament that took place over the past 3 weekends at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.
- Normally, the Athletics would now advance to the Minto Cup, which is the Canadian Jr. A lacrosse championship.
- However, due to COVID the Minto Cup has been cancelled.
