Local events to receive provincial funding – Local Skim St. Catharines

Five St. Catharines festivals and events will be receiving financial support from the Ontario Government through its Reconnect Festival and Event Program.
Emancipation Day Weekend and Picnic, Love Niagara, Niagara Grape and Wine Festival, Rhizomes 2020 In the Soil Multi Arts Festival and The Ladies Foursome by Norm Foster will all receive provincial funding.
The province is providing $43 million to support 439 festivals and events through the Reconnect program, known as Celebrate Ontario prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program was developed to help festival and event organizers adapt to new public health measures with virtual, drive-through and other safe offerings.
