- The 2021 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection took place this past weekend.
- While the IceDogs did not have a first round pick due to a recruiting violation, the team held 3 second round picks.
- Left Winger Juan Copeland, goaltender Joseph Costanzo and centerman Declan Waddick were all selected by the IceDogs in the second round.
- Waddick was projected by some to be a late first round pick but the IceDogs were able to use their last pick in the second round to draft him.
- The IceDogs drafted a total of 16 players over the 15 round draft.
