Protest on Rainbow Bridge could block traffic Sunday
- Several local Indigenous groups will converge on Sunday at the Rainbow Bridge to show support for the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs.
- The protest will start at 2pm and will likely either partially or fully block traffic.
- The protest will also feature speeches and Indigenous dancing.
- The Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs are opposed to the building of the Coastal GasLink pipeline, which is to be built through the territorial of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation in northern B.C.
